Tedeschi Trucks Band
The Derek Trucks Band, Trucks built a devoted following through two decades of touring and seven acclaimed albums. Their 2009 release, Already Free, won a GRAMMY for Best Contemporary Blues Album. dTb's latest album, Roadsongs, is a live double-album recorded in Chicago during the Already Free World Tour in 2009.
Trucks also found time to go on tour as a member of Eric Clapton’s band in 2006, and has played guitar on studio albums by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Buddy Guy, McCoy Tyner, Dr. John, and Susan Tedeschi, in addition to his role as guitarist for The Allman Brothers Band. At the end of 2009.
The Derek Trucks Band announced a hiatus, and Trucks formed a new band with his wife Susan Tedeschi. Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi have toured together in 2007, under the name Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi's Soul Stew Revival, however this group's material was largely culled from Derek & Susan's solo projects, while the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band mostly focuses on performing original songs.
As husband-wife couples go in the world of music. Susan and Derek duo are well-fitted as that of singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi and guitarist Derek Trucks. Their first concert was on April 1, 2010 at the Savannah Music Festival, and although their touring schedule was limited in 2010, the group did perform at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, Fuji Rock Festival, and several other festivals and venues. Susan and Derek are both heavily steeped in the blues tradition, yet open to far-ranging influences
