
Slash (musician) Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), better known by his stage name Slash, is a British-American musician. He is the former lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he performed and recorded between 1985 and 1996. He later formed Slash's Snakepit and co-founded Velvet Revolver with his former bandmates Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, and his debut solo album, Slash, was released in April 2010. Slash has received critical recognition as a guitarist. In August 2009, Time Magazine ranked him #2 on its list of the "10 Best Electric Guitar Players of All-Time". He was also ranked #21 on Gigwise's list of the "50 Greatest Guitarists Ever".

Slash Delux addition is the first upcoming solo album by former Guns N' Roses and current Velvet Revolver guitarist, Slash. The album was produced by Eric Valentine (The All-American Rejects, Good Charlotte, Queens of the Stone Age) and is to feature multiple musicians including four of the five original members of Guns N' Roses: Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Steven Adler and Duff McKagan. Singer Axl Rose is the only original Guns N' Roses member absent from the Slash line-up.

"Sahara" Released: November 11, 2009 "Sahara" is the first single from Slash's self titled album. It was released as the first single of the album in Japan only. It has been awarded "Single of the Year" by the Japanese recording industry.
"Sahara" features Koshi Inaba (from B'z) on vocals. It was released on November 11, 2009 in Japan as Slash's first solo single.
The b-side to the single is a cover version of Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City" with Cypress Hill and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas on vocals.
"Sahara" is only available as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the album Slash. The song has been re-recorded with lyrics in English. The English version is available on the iTunes version of the album, as a bonus track. It's also available as a bonus track on the Canadian Deluxe edition of the album (with English vocals).
The website Ultimate Guitar rated the single 9/10.
"Sahara" has been awarded "Single of the Year" by the Japanese recording industry. It's the first time in 20 years that an international artist wins that award.
"By the Sword" is the first official single from the album Slash by current Velvet Revolver and former Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash. It features Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother on vocals and was released as a digital single on March 16, 2010. It was released in the UK on March 28, 2010.

The song was debuted live for the first time on November 22, 2009, at the Slash & friends performance, where Slash was joined by Andrew Stockdale to play the song live, along with Dave Navarro, Chris Chaney and Travis Barker.
