Five? Investors. Still Short Money for Debt Security_
Didn't Dalton &/? others receive;1 million for the iMeem' Fire Sale?
iMeem to Pay The Orchard $1.77M in Copyright Judgment,’. Orchard had only granted iMeem the rights to distribute samples not full tracks on the site.
So not only has iMeem left artist high and dry, it was also knowingly allowing copyright infringement on the worlds largest independent digital distributor of music content. Regardless. That costly / derangement should have been covered / payable by the incorporation's insurance.
iMeem CEO Dalton Caldwell, CTO Bryan Berg, COO Ali Aydar and VP of Sales David Wade were contacted as consultants to help manage this transition from iMeem to My Space
This dream team it might seam, as they do not wish to place all $.xx back into another venture. The Debt security needed is only $600k.
iMeem was an excellent start up company.
A awesome social music community.
The programming was excellent. Near the end the advertisers embedded were terminable. Thus appeared to be an full time programming job to maintain the site just up and running.iMeem frantically adding more advertisers. Imeem falling down left this world wide web and music, in a bad way'. What music management rights company's are going to trust their music liberties as embeds, streams, or full plays rights, into Dalton's hands or anyone eases' again?.
In aftermath of iMeem' this web is an serious change, for us that enjoy the music. More serious selections are missing for our choice music, & artist., whom expect to be paid their due'. Artist royalties seamingly were just left owed. I was at Imeem as an member from the early beginning, until the last day when the plug was pulled. I uploaded between 8_10k mp3s. to iMeem servers.
I'm mad as hell, we were not told as to say good byes to thousands of friendships we built on line. Other music communities and music player embeddable social sites we lost in years on the web as Tag World, and Bolt. Those communities as closing gave us a heads up for those considerations & courtesy's. Not to mention our faithful iMeem employed staffer friends whom were laid off, with year end, approaching Holidays.
As Members of iMeem & My Space were also sold short. Our uploaded iMeem music. Our screen names redirected in search results. Our same screen names established prior in other web communities, over years of music online friendships. Thus I/we used my established screen names in iMeem. All by default now go to My Space to increase their traffic. Our created uploads and the descriptions that We Wrote on iMeem Playlist are still present in other communities, as iLikes and other My Space venture owned communities.
Topsy.com has our iMeem Play list descriptions intact, as a list of iMeem play list prior tweeted all redirect to ilikes. If ilikes does not have full play rights negotiated they are using an You Tube service video. The search results of Yahoo and Google still lead a trail from our browser bookmarked/favorites music to those redirects. I do still seriously see the music we uploaded to iMeem programmed into ilikes. My Space promised an import of our iMeem Play list. I later read on the web that iMeems servers were leased, not purchased as My Space had first thought, in early negotiations. That took something away I'm sure. I received 3700 songs play listed for full play streaming within My Space. It would seam My Space did not have as many rights negotiated as iMeem for full play by Artist. Those My Space import play list are not embeddable any were else. The My Space imported play list is limited to 100 songs. We had prior play list discography's of some artist. The iMeem / My Space import play list is only a map. We must create another play list to even feature the play list on our profile. We can send an share within My Space to friends. So they can possibly buy the music by single song pricing. I purchase the majority my MP3s.as cds. Converted them, advertised / shared, networked with in I thought to be legal communities to friends. So servers & library's could be sold. Now seamingly no royalties were paid back to artist. It is pledged in imeems rein as much as 35 million was collected as cash flow by iMeem. As an result, we music consumers are paying additional cost for the price of concerts & new music releases. Think about it!''
I myself and few friends I know are enthusiastic to upload our PC stored music libraries again. What a job was done on us & the re-coding to re-direct of what we uploaded.
Today, 5/28/10 as I looked into past uploaded music play list granted as imported to MySpace from iMeem. I see 3000 mp3s, within play list, linked to my MySpace account. An example, Play list of 30+ songs, I NOW SEE FOR SALE does cost $119.00. Do THE MATH.

On December 8, 2009, My Space (owned by News Corp) acquired Imeem and angered many Imeem users when it was closed down on the same day and all users were redirected to My Space Music. The music-focused social network did not pay artists or labels the money owed to them for music streaming
